Worker injured after falling from a bucket truck

Vero Beach, FL – An unidentified man in his 30s was seriously injured in a fall from a bucket truck.

Battalion Chief Kyle Kofke of the Indian River County Fire Rescue said the man likely sustained a broken leg and other injures after he fell 10 to 15 feet out of a bucket truck on a worksite.

Kofke said the man was conscious when firefighters arrived. He said he didn’t know if the worker was cutting limbs at the time of the fall.

The injured man was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce around 10:30 AM.
