Pedestrian hit by falling tree limb as crews were working to remove a tree

Brookline, MA – A 29 year old man suffered serious injuries after he was struck by a falling tree limb. The man was walking by a job site when a limb, one foot in diameter, fell and struck the man. Police stated that Belmont Landscaping was hired by Hamilton Realty to cut down a tree in an alley off of Thorndike Street. Boston police say the tree crew had the alley marked off, but the man may have cut through a fence into the work area when he was hit. No other information is available at this time.
