Worker suffers cut from chainsaw in Cape Cod

Falmouth, MA – A 46 year old tree worker suffered a cut from a chainsaw while working at the Treetops Condominium complex. A witness told Police that a worker from Casey Landscape & Tree Care was cutting a tree when the chainsaw caught his clothing and was pulled into the upper portion of his right leg. An officer responded to the scene and immediately administered a tourniquet to the man’s leg to stop the bleeding. Officials with the Falmouth Fire Rescue Department arrived soon afterward and treated the victim further. Fire officials transported the victim to Falmouth Hospital, where he was airlifted to a Providence-area hospital.
