Woman dies after being struck by a wood chipper

Belton, MO – An unidentified woman in her 30s died after she was struck by a wood chipper at a mobile home park in Belton. Details on this incident are limited but what reports say is that a driver of a vehicle towing a trailer holding an 8,000-pound wood chipper did not see the woman as he was readjusting the trailer. That woman was struck and sustained severe head injuries.

The woman was rushed to an area hospital after the incident but ultimately died as a result of her injuries.

The victim’s name has yet to be released.
