Tree worker injured after the upper boom failed on a spider lift

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – Sam Neterval-Quiel was injured after the boom of a spider lift collapsed and sent him dropping to the ground.

According to social media and a GoFundMe post, Sam was in a CMC 83HD spider lift when, for unknown reasons, the upper boom suffered a substantial and sudden structural failure and sent Sam crashing to the ground.

Details of this accident are currently under investigation.

Sam Neterval-Quiel was sent to the ICU with multiple fractures but no paralysis.
