Tree trimmer rescued after being struck by a limb

Hamilton, ON, Canada – A man was rescued Sunday afternoon after a limb from the tree he was trimming snapped, struck the man and broke his femur. The man was wearing spikes and a climbing belt at the time of the accident but it is unknown if he had a climbing line. He was rescued by the Flamborough Fire Department with the assistance of a ladder truck. Fire spokesman Claudio Mostacci said it was unknown whether he is the property owner or a hired contractor. He was then transported to the hospital.
