Tree trimmer rescued after bucket truck overturns in Morris Township

Morristown, NJ – A worker was rescued after the bucket truck he was operating overturned. Firefighters, paramedics, and police responded around 9:30 AM to a 911 call requesting help outside a home on Defarge Way. A male worker was stranded in the platform of a bucket truck 10 or more feet in the air. The truck somehow tipped to the side but remained upright on two wheels as it rested against a tree. The man was briefly knocked unconscious and sustained minor injuries.

Police Chief Mark DiCarlo said firefighters were able to safely remove the worker from the bucket. DiCarlo said he was not certain whether the worker declined a trip to the hospital or was transported to Morristown Medical Center as a precaution.
