Tree contractor killed by falling tree in Natchaug State Forest

Chaplin, CT – A 61-year-old “tree contractor” was killed after he was struck by a falling tree. The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said the man was working on clearing trees that were damaged by gypsy moths when he was killed.

The victim has not been publicly identified. No other information is available at this time.
