Tree climber dies in an accident in Providence Township

Providence Township, PA – 35-year-old Milton Tiru died in an accident in southern Lancaster County.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene at about 6:35 PM to reports of a man who was hanging from a climbing harness, 50 feet up a tree.

According to his cousin Eliezer Santiago, they were working on the tree in the backyard of a customer’s house when a piece of the tree swung and hit Tiru in the chest.
