Tree climber dies after an accident 50 feet up a tree

Dekalb County, GA – A 26-year-old tree climber was left dangling upside down in a tree after a workplace accident. The man, who was from Guatemala, was working to remove a tree when he was struck by a “rope” according to a witness.

A co-worker climbed the tree to try and retrieve the victim but reports say there was nothing he could do. It took police an hour and a half to retrieve the man out of the tree.

The incident is still under investigation. A truck from Perez G. Tree Service was parked in the driveway. The identity of the man has not been released.
