Salem man is killed while logging in Indiana forest

Salem, IN – 44 year old Thomas Sidwell died while logging at Indiana’s Jackson-Washington State Forest. Investigators believe a large limb from a dead tree became dislodged, and struck Sidwell. He was a contract logger and was discovered by a co-worker. Sidwell was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a hard hat at the time of the accident.
