Rochester woman dies in tree cutting accident

58 year old Dawn Zollman, who owned a small tree service, died when she was crushed by a large limb. The homeowner, who hired Dawn to do some tree work, was working in the front yard and hadn’t heard from her in awhile. She discovered Dawn in the back yard. The police report indicated that the limb Dawn was attempting to remove was 3 feet in diameter and 20 – 30 feet long. The limb fell on her pinning her to the tree. There was no indication that Dawn was on a ladder or in the tree.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.
