Retired Calhoun County judge dies after tree falls on him

Homer, MI – 72-year-old Conrad Sindt died Tuesday in an accident at his home.

Calhoun County Sheriff Matt Saxton said Sindt was using a tractor to pull a tree when another tree fell and struck him.

Sindt’s wife had gone inside just minutes before the tree fell, but returned and found Sindt. She and first responders administered CPR but were unable to revive him. Sindt was pronounced dead at the scene.
