Charlottesville, VA – The Albemarle County Police Department is investigating a crash that involved a tree trimmer.
According to police, the crash involving a 2014 Honda sedan and a Jarraff Mini Side Trimmer occurred around 8:10 a.m.
The investigation found workers from Asplundh Tree Service were working in the eastbound lane when the Honda, also heading east, approached the area.
The Honda’s driver tried to avoid the equipment and its operator by going into the ditch, but in doing so, the Honda grazed the operator.
The driver of the Honda was taken to the University of Virginia Health System with minor injuries, but the equipment operator who was grazed by the car refused medical treatment.
