UPDATE 5/7/18: The victims have been identified as 28-year-old Adam Sura and 18-year-old Zach Plater. The pair, who were arborists with Miller Tree Services, had been clearing branches from a road near Fourth Line and 20 Sideroad to allow for a school bus, with students aboard, to pass. That’s when the tree fell.
UPDATE 5/6/18: The 18-year-old tree service worker has died of his injuries on Saturday morning.
Milton, ON L0P, Canada – A 28-year-old male tree service worker is dead and an 18-year-old male is in life-threatening condition after the tree they were working on fell on them. The men were working to clear trees from power lines after a powerful storm swept through Ontario. Police responded to the scene at around 5:30 PM and pronounced one of the workers dead at the scene. The second worker was transported to Hamilton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries after the fire department extricated him from the tree that was pinning them down.

It is with a heavy heart that we report while working to help clear trees from our power lines, a young forestry worker was just killed when a large tree fell on him. We offer our deepest condolences to Miller Tree and family.
