Man’s leg pinned under tractor during tree removal

67 year old Bruce Hoorn was injured when his tractor rolled on top of his leg. Horn was removing a tree next to his house in Algoma Township. He had notched the tree began the back cut. Hoorn then jumped on his tractor, which had a chain attached from the tree to the loader. He backed up to pull the tree over. The tree began to fall towards the tractor and Hoorn jumped from the tractor. His leg became stuck in the rear tire where he became pinned. Hoorn’s wife discovered him and moved the tractor. Bruce Hoorn was taken to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital with serious injuries.
