Man taken to hospital after arm pinched by tree branch 40 feet up

Shoreline, WA – A 72-year-old man was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after a tree branch fell and pinched his arm while he was trimming a tree. The man, described as an arborist by a news source, was reportedly about 40 feet up and couldn’t move or get down because his arm was stuck.

Officials with Shoreline fire said he was wearing the “appropriate gear” for the work he was doing. He was then taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

Shoreline Fire says the man lost consciousness while in the tree and was unconscious on the way to the hospital.
