Man rescued, trapped by palm fronds in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV – An unidentified man was pinned by palm fronds 50 feet up a tree on Friday morning.

According to reports, The Clark County Fire Department used a ladder truck to reach the man and place him into a harness before he was lowered to the ground.

The man, who was trimming the tree at the time of the accident, was conscious and responding but having difficulty breathing due to the weight of the palm fronds. It took crews about 45 minutes to get the worker down.

He refused medical care after he was lowered to the ground and is expected to be ok.
