A man in his late 50’s was airlifted to the hospital after a serious run in with a chainsaw. The man was limbing a tree on his property when he lost his footing. As he fell the chainsaw cut into his left leg and his hand came down on the blade as well. A friend working with the man applied pressure to the wounds and applied a makeshift tourniquet that helped slow the bleeding. The man was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with critical injuries.
