Man dies removing hazardous trees in Mariposa County

Coulterville, CA – 40 year old Nash Mayer was fatally injured while removing hazardous trees according to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office. Mayer was working as part of a ground crew felling a hazard tree. He was guiding a dead tree when a pine tree fell on top of Mayer. The Sheriff’s Office also stated that Mayer was under the employ of Arbor Works professional tree care service at the time of the accident. Mayer had been working as an arborist for 16 years.
