Man and teen dead after a gust of wind blew over a cherry picker in Albuquerque

A man and a teenager died yesterday and three other children seriously injured after the boom lift they were taking a ride in overturned in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The lift was sitting in the back of a flat bed truck, no outriggers were deployed. Reports say that it was an unusually windy day. The boom was up 60 feet when a gust of wind came and caused the lift to overturn.

UPDATE: May 29 – The 7 year old boy has died from his injuries. The two 10 year old boys are still in the hospital.
