Logger Pinned by Skidder Tracks for Nearly Two Hours

41 year old Bill Bailey was pinned under a skidder for nearly two hours. Reports say that Baily was driving a skidder log loader, full of logs, when he jumped out to check one of the tires. The loader started to roll and he was pinned under the tracks. The skidder was quickly supported by a nearby tree harvester and Oak tree to keep the machine from moving more on the icy surface. Rescuers deployed airbags to lift the skidder, then dug out around Bailey to free him. The rescue call came in around 8:30 a.m. and Bailey was loaded on to a LifeFlight helicopter for transport to Central Maine Medical Center at 10:45 a.m.
