Jackson County, OR – An unidentified man was rescued by Rogue River Fire District crews after the bulldozer he was operating rolled down a steep embankment.
According to a press release from the department, At 09:15 am, a dozer operator working at a logging site rolled over on a steep mountainside and needed rescue.
The operator was cutting a new road on the side of the mountain and working on a 70-degree slope when he got high centered on a large stump, rolling over his equipment and landing on its side.
The operator was injured in the accident and unable to get back up the hillside. Crews worked for two hours to free the victim and get him back up the 70 degree slope.
He was airlifted to Rogue Regional Medical Center to treat his injuries.
