Jacksonville man needs rescue after dropping climbing line

Jacksonville, FL – A Jacksonville man required rescue after getting stuck in a tree on Wednesday afternoon. The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene and found him about 50 feet up a tree. The man’s family said he was trimming trees when he accidentally dropped his climbing line. Sears said she wasn’t worried about her son-in-law.

“I was actually laughing at him,” Sears said.

It took over an hour and 25 crew members to get the man down safely. After the rescue, the man thanked fire crews and took a picture with them.
