Husqvarna announced it’s most powerful top handled battery-powered chainsaw to date, the T540i XP. It’s powered by a 36v Li-Ion battery.
The saw, according to Husqvarna, is equivalent to a 40cc gas powered chainsaw when fitted with a BLi200X battery. The saw has a maximum chain speed of 24 m/s and weighs 2.5 kg or 5.5 lbs without the battery.
A feature new to the tree care industry is the ability to connect to the chainsaw via Bluetooth. The saw is equipped with Husqvarna Connect. It allows users to connect via Bluetooth and have easy access to helpful tips, manuals, and spare part recommendations. The app also provides additional information such as runtime and charging status as well as maintenance and service needs.
The Husqvarna T540i XP is retailing for €699.00 without the battery. It is unknown when the saw will be released in the United States.
