Gusty winds likely cause of accident claiming life of a logger

Brentwood, NH – 35 year old Eric LaFramboise died when a large pine fell on him. LaFramboise, who owned and operated Ridgewood Timber Harvesting for the past 17 years, was hire by homeowners to clear trees on their property. The homeowners went to check on him after not hearing noise for a period of time. They found LaFramboise pinned under a large pine tree.

Police stated that LaFramboise was actively notching a tree, when another tree he had already begun to fell was blown over by a gust of wind and struck him from behind. He was working alone at the time of the accident.
