Bucket truck overturns when outrigger sinks

39 year old Greg L. Carver was injured when the bucket truck he was using overturned onto it’s side. Carver, along with his ground guy David Lowe Calloway, had positioned the 2013 Ford F750 bucket truck to set up the outriggers at the location where they would be working. The men worked for awhile then took a 15 minute break. Carver then returned to the bucket and began trimming branches again. He was about 70 feet up when the ground gave way causing the truck to topple onto it’s side. Carver was unconscious still in the platform of the truck because of his safety harness. The truck took down electrical wires during the fall but they were not electrified because the circuit breaker was tripped. Carver was transported by Wings Air Rescue to the Johnson City Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition.
