Bucket operator falls from platform while trimming tree

Detroit, MI – A 52 year old worker has died after he fell from the platform of the bucket truck he was operating. The worker from All Metro Tree Service was trimming a limb that appeared to be stuck underneath the lift. A witness stated that when the pressure was released it struck the platform and caused it to rotate 360 degrees. The impact ejected him from the platform causing him to fall about 30 feet headfirst onto the concrete sidewalk below. He was rushed to Sinai-Grace Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Although the victim has not been identified, the Police stated that the man was the owner of the company. It is still unknown if the worker was wearing a safety harness.
