Brandon arborist injured after 100 foot fall from tree

Brandon, MB, CA – A 49 year old man is in critical condition after falling 100 feet (30 meters) from a tree. Police Sargent Larry Yanick said the man, who owns a tree care business in Brandon, was working at a private residence at the time of the fall. He was wearing a safety harness but at some time during the fall the harness snapped. The man landed onto the roof of a garage before rolling onto the concrete below. He was taken to the hospital before he was airlifted to the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. He suffered injuries to his lower and upper extremities and his upper body.
