Bovill man injured in Elk River logging accident

36-year-old Luke Pomme was injured in a logging accident in Elk River.

According to Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office Pomme was struck by part of a tree during a line operation.

Deary Ambulance and Rescue, a Life Flight helicopter and two Bear Air helicopters were used to transport Pomme from the accident scene, which was in a remote and difficult location to reach, according to the sheriff’s office.

Pomme was treated by members of the logging crew before emergency crews arrived. The extent of his injuries are unknown.
