An unidentified Bay County employee was injured in a tree cutting accident.
According to reports, the man was cutting trees when he was trapped under multiple different trees.
Valerie Sale, spokeswoman for the county stated, “all I can do is confirm that it was a county employee and that he was seriously injured while removing stormwater debris from the hurricane.”
First responders were able to free him after cutting through those trees and then used a ladder as a make shift bridge to move the man across a ditch.
The man was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
