Andover, MA – An unidentified 81-year-old man was taken to the hospital after being pinned under a tree he was attempting to cut down in his yard.
According to reports, firefighters responded to a home at about 1:20 p.m. Saturday after receiving a report of a man trapped under a tree. The man was found pinned face-down with his left arm and leg stuck. Firefighters were able to cut him free from the tree.
He suffered cardiac arrest while inside an ambulance, which was diverted to Lawrence General Hospital, where he was revived. The man was being stabilized in preparation of being flown to a Boston hospital.
