Alexandra man critical after fall and serious cut

A man in his 40s is in critical condition after falling 5 meters out of a tree and suffering a ‘significant’ cut from a chainsaw. He was airlifted to Dunedin Hospital with serval injuries including a significant cut to his arm, but it was not severed. Originally authorities contacted WorkSafe New Zealand and Central Otago District Council after thinking the man was on council land. It was determined later that the man was on privately owned land.
